Under our Personal Medical Services (PMS) contract with the NHS, we provide a full range of essential and additional primary medical services to our registered patients.
These include:
Essential medical services
- General medical consultations for the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of illness
- Management of acute and long-term (chronic) conditions
- Health promotion and disease prevention advice
- Referrals to secondary care and community services where clinically appropriate
- Prescribing and medicines management
Additional and enhanced services (as commissioned)
- Childhood and adult immunisations and vaccinations
- Cervical screening
- Contraceptive services, including advice and prescribing
- Maternity and postnatal care (shared care where appropriate)
- Minor surgery (where offered at the practice)
- Health checks and NHS screening programmes
- Care for patients with learning disabilities, mental health conditions, and complex needs
Services are provided in line with NHS guidance and local commissioning arrangements. Some services may be delivered by other NHS providers on our behalf, or may be subject to eligibility criteria.
