Non-urgent advice: Extended Access & Out of Hours
Note: the practice is shut on Bank Holidays.
We run extended evening surgeries on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 6.30pm – 8pm to help our patients who find it difficult to attend during the normal working day. These appointments can be pre booked up to 8 weeks in advance.
All incoming and outgoing telephone calls are recorded for quality and training purposes. These are only held for 21 days.
Out of Hours Service
Primary health care outside of surgery hours is the responsibility of NHS. For urgent medical attention when the surgery is closed please call the NHS 111 on call service. This is for URGENT MEDICAL CONDITIONS ONLY.
The doctor will normally consult by telephone or invite you to visit a Primary Care Centre.
NHS Out of Hours Service
If you require urgent medical attention when your GP surgery is closed, call 111.
Weekdays: Monday to Friday: 6.30pm – 8.00am
Weekends: Friday 6.30pm – Monday 8.00am
Bank Holidays: 24 Hours

Felixstowe Community Hospital
Minor Injury unit available by appointment and minor surgery is available by referral from your GP. A doctor from this practice attends the hospital at 10.00am from Monday to Friday.
Injuries and illnesses requiring dressings are best dealt with at the hospital. The hospital also has a chiropody service and a physiotherapy department.
Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
NHS 111
In the case of urgent need when the practice is closed you can call NHS 111 (111) Your needs will be assessed and advice offered or arrangements made for you to see a Clinician.
Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
