Alert:

Temporary pause to non-urgent blood test service:
Until 7th October we will be unable to offer non-urgent blood tests at this practice.
This is not unique to our practice – other GP practices in the area are affected too. The pause is due to our local hospital trust, East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust, upgrading the patient record systems that process blood results. Once complete, the upgrade will support a more joined-up service across the area.
We expect services to return to normal next week.
We understand this may be frustrating and apologise for the disruption. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Our flu and covid clinics are available to book into. Please contact our reception team to book your appointment. When you have your flu jab with us, it really helps support your GP surgery. The funding we receive from providing these vaccinations goes straight back into patient care.

You may have seen in the press that from the 1st October 2025 all GP Surgeries have to improve access for their patients. Please see the link to this change lower down the page called 'You and your general practice'.

Routine Appointments

The aim of our service is to provide access to patients on the day of their request to see a clinician. We ask that patients contact us on a day that they are available to take a call and / or be seen in person.

Urgent Appointments

The practice operates a daily on-call team Monday to Friday. Patients requiring an urgent appointment, will see or speak to a member of the on call team, all of whom can prescribe. This system ensures that the most appropriate health care professional sees you, and that the duty doctor has adequate time to deal with emergencies that occur on the day.

We strive to provide an appointment with a healthcare professional within 24 hours. If you require an appointment with a specific GP there may be a longer wait.

Evening Surgery

Evening surgery appointments are now available. These are held on Monday – Thursday evenings from 6.30pm – 8pm. These appointments can be pre booked. We hope that these appointments will be especially useful for those patients that find it difficult to attend the surgery during the normal working day.

GP+ and OOH

Suffolk GP+ is for patients who need a doctors appointment, or can’t attend their surgery on a weekday. Appointments are offered in the evening and at weekends and are booked through your GP Practice. For more information please click here.

OOH service is provided by NHS 111, please call 111 for medical assistance when the surgery is closed.
