Pharmacy First

We are working with all of the Pharmacies in Felixstowe in a co-production called Pharmacy First. This is a nationwide programme that is aimed at managing the huge numbers of minor illnesses that can now be treated by your Pharmacist. Your local Pharmacist can prescribe and issue antibiotics for the following conditions;

Sinusitis / sinus infection

sore throat

earache

infected insect bite

impetigo

shingles

This service is expected to free up GP appointments for patients who need them most.

Our reception team will be able to refer you to the Pharmacy and you will often find you are seen and treated very quickly. If the Pharmacists are concerned about your symptoms or feel you need to be seen by a GP they will give you clear information and provide feedback to us.
