Home Visits

Non-urgent advice: Notice

Requests for home visits should be made between 8.30am – 10am, but patients are reminded that it is preferable that consultations take place in the surgery where diagnostic facilities are ideal.

Home visits are allocated between the doctors present on the day so it may not be possible to specify a particular GP. You will be asked the nature of the home visit so that it can be prioritised by the doctor.

House visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the surgery.
